Knysna Catholic Communities

Welcome to KNYSNA CATHOLIC PARISH!

Thank you for your interest in our parish. Whether you’re just visiting us for a brief time, looking for a new parish home, are returning to the practice of your Catholic faith or are interested in finding out more about the Catholic Church, we’re happy to have you here. A parish is a community of believers and a spiritual family that is supportive and loving. It can be a place to grow spiritually, to put your faith in action, and to use our gifts of time and talent as disciples of Christ. We look forward to answering any questions you may have. In the meantime, please look through the resources we’ve made available on these pages.

DISASTER FUND NEEDS VOLUNTEERS

The disaster Fund is an organisation which provides clothes, bedding and basic kitchen necessities to families in the Greater Knysna Area who have lost all their belongings in a house-fire. We raise funds through bi-yearly street collections. We appeal to anyone who can offer just one hour of their time between 9am and 1pm on Saturday morning 21 May. It is a very rewarding experience. Please call Daphne on 044 3840075 if you feel you would like to assist. Huge thanks in advance!

 'COME HOME'

An initiative to reach out to INACTIVE Catholics in Knysna!

In a family there are different members, each with their own roles and gifts. Some family members are more active and involved in the family affairs. Others simply stand back or have moved away for many different reasons. Yet, they are still important to and part of the family.

COME HOME seeks to reach out to INACTIVE Catholic Christians in Knysna who may have drifted away from the Church for various reasons.

The priests are very eager to know of anyone who needs to be visited, invited back to the church. If you are one of those, please contact the priests for a personal visit to your home. If you know of someone who needs a visit from a priest, give the name, address, email address and telephone number to the priests.
